The Bible talks about this everywhere - people (us/me) who do not believe, even as miracles are performed in front of their very eyes, yet still ask with help for their disbelief. That is why I will never stand in aggressive judgement of others' salvation. I cannot and will not, because I am human and deeply, deeply flawed.

I believe many who know where this is all heading have come back to God in these last 4 years, myself included. I think my next step is to read the bible...but which one? Haven't they all been altered by those that seek to control and destroy us? How do we know which one is real?

That's a good question. I can only tell you what I did. I simply went to a Bible bookstore and chose what I liked.
I am currently reading a large archaeology Bible that I am really enjoying - it has a lot of annotation about historical events. Who were the leaders were at the time, maps, photographs of the land, objects, Egyptian and Roman history, wars, where the written evidence was discovered and how it was translated etc. These things happened in locations, not on a cloud somewhere, and I have always enjoyed art and history, so this is what I am reading.
A lot of people would slap this out of my hand and scold me for reasons(TM). People are very strange and controlling - busybodies imo. Just find something you like and go from there.
My worry is that the *government* will start censoring and banning Bibles. I have been recently made aware of an alarming trend in Australian state media. Instead of keeping to standard British English of saying 'God' they are now saying 'the Christian god' in news articles and instead of God are using lowercase as in 'god.' Censoring Bibles? It's quite plausible. In a recent poll of 2,088 British adults conducted by Whitestone Insights, which asked those surveyed the following: “Unless the offending parts can be edited out, books containing what some perceive as hate speech should be banned from general sale, including if necessary religious texts such as the Bible”, 23% of 18 to 34 year olds said "yes".
So, hold on to your printed Bible. And just in case, start memorizing scripture.
You could learn Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek. There are also some interesting Bibles and websites that show different English translations through time. Other than that I cannot really help unfortunately.

Yes, there were organic psychological processes at work, mass formation, mass hysteria, etc.
Probably a lot of incompetence, bungling, and sincere people who were duped by the propaganda.
But there were also very deliberate psychological manipulation processes too, very deliberate gaslighting and weaponisation of altruism, fear, and all the other propaganda messages.
Most of us have difficulty comprehending that such evil exists... that our governments do not care about our health and well-being, and instead have been bought by powerful global interests.

I'd only recently "come back" to the Church before 2020, only to leave it forever thereafter. But God is real I certainly know that. I cherish my Catholic and Protestant friends (who also refused the jab). And I've wondered if I'll still have to do the "life review" that so many ND experiencers report, as not a day goes by I don't re-live one memory or another (they're too numerous to count) of the hurts I have caused others. Not just big kind but the little every-day ones as well. I suffer already over my trespasses.
One last thing: you said your daily prayer is "please don't let me be an a-hole" (I chuckled). But it's said that the conscious mind doesn't recognize the negative, so it really hears"please let me be an a-hole". But I like the spirit of your prayer and will translate it for myself as "please God give me courage, strength and tolerance to face this day" or something like that. Positive programming so to speak. Anyway, you are one of my heroes and I wish you a comforting, peaceful Christmas.
