Is my Substack subscriber count being suppressed?
What could explain the difference in these metrics?

LEFT (my dashboard) total subs: 2,502 at 5:19 PM on October 5, 2023
RIGHT (searching internet) total subs: 3,000+ at 5:04 PM on October 5, 2023
I did not ‘lose’ over 500 subscribers in 15 minutes, and I never hit the 3,000 number on my dashboard - I always celebrate milestones with my readers.

Application: Australia's vaccine uptake, where 51% may be rounded to 100+%.
